Alien Escapade º Episode 0505 - The calculations: Chief, Gera, Leila, Sheriff, Udal-E4, Vanna, Zola, ~ 07 {Vanna’s Trullo – Full Meeting ~ 7} ``Vanna: I knew I would have plenty of things to do, as I can stay independent and this has paid off. I will fill Leila and Zola in on the gaps later, but my thanks as well to the Chief. So I suggest that we deal with the Sheriff’s side of things first. ``Chief: I have issued warrants of suspension to the 2 Officers. However this has left me even shorter on the ground and I need more Officers who can be trusted. ``Leila: Give Yerba a job. ``Chief: I like it. Hobbs City is also short as some of them have too been suspended, so where do we get them from? ``Leila: There is only one place left, which you can now do, because it is not top secret. ``Chief: It has been two long qefs, so quin, spell it out? ``Leila: You will have to pay travelling and Hotel accommodation for a week’s work, and I suggest you get 11 over from Atlantic City, and hire the Saucer to get them over here quick. ``Chief: You win. Okay: I will make it happen, and I will go and see the Captain. Sheriff get back to the Outpost, and get it arranged ASAP. ``Sheriff: Zaa, Chief. ``Chief: We will leave you to it, so you can conclude your other business, and zaffre all. Zimo. ``Sheriff: Zarfs and zimo, I will be in touch. ``Vanna: What is next? ``Gera: You amaze me, on what you can get people to do, just like that. ``Vanna: That’s life for you. However, you have a problem with your Insurance? ``Gera: The insurance company, legal department refuses to cancel the old policy, saying that there was a miss-payment, which went undetected, for over a year, and therefore you were not covered, although you had made a claim, and we had paid out. ``Zola: Oh, I do like it. ``Vanna that is a good one. ``Udal, E4: This could be a double counter claim, as they want both lots back. ``Gera: I am not surprised with Space dock, so what can we do? ``Vanna: A puzzle, and I think it will be a Leila job. ``Leila: Thanks for the vote of confidence. Udal, what has happened to the old Space Dock company? ``Udal-E4: Nothing, it is still there, I have not decided what to do with it yet. ``Leila: If this money is technically owing, then you are running in the red, which is not allowed under any circumstances in a court of law! ``Udal-E4: Go on! ``Leila: Get the auditors to liquidate the assets, as they have gone bankrupt, which is why the new company was formed. Then tell this insurance company, that the company has gone into liquidation owing to a lack of funds. [Clapping] ``Udal: I have been in book keeping far too long, and I have missed this one, so I zaffre. It is absolutely brilliant. I will make it happen. Okay for the next one! It is another skool contract, which was confirmed in writing, but never paid, so they did some work and then stopped, owing to not being paid. ``Leila: How old is it? ``Udal-E4: 4 years. ``Leila: What does the contract say in your clauses about time out limits. ``Udal-E4: They are entitled to compensation in lieu of completion. ``Leila: How much are they claiming? ``Udal-E4: ¢650,000. ``Leila: How much have they received? ``Udal-E4: As far as we can tell, none. ``Leila: So how come they did not take it to court? ``Udal-E4: Not sure, but I believe it was being paid cash in hand. ``Zola: I like it. ``Leila: Um, everyone is corrupt in this case, and no one can afford to go to court, although they are threatening court action. ``Udal-E4: I will admit to that here. ``Leila: Likewise, no one wants to give in. ``Udal-E4: Confirmed. ``Leila: In that case, “owing to these strange set of circumstances on both sides, and we cannot hold people accountable as it was too long ago, we would like to make you a good will offer of ¢100,000 to settle any claim whatsoever. ``Udal-E4: Gera? ``Gera: I will go with the flow. ``Udal-E4: Okay. I will make it happen. ``Zola: Leila’s usual commission, required. ``Udal-E4: I will put it to the committee. ``Gera: I think this has been a marvellous achievement, and zaffre all. Any news on when the Saucer is coming back? ``Leila: Not yet, as they have ordered up new parts. ``Gera: I have booked to go to Algol. ``Zola: The rate things are going on, there will not be any room for us. ``Gera: Full paying passengers go first. ``Vanna: We would not be going free. ``Leila: Skipper and I are going at staff rate, but we still have to pay, so we are entitled to go. ``Udal-E4: As long as you have paid for a ticket, then you are entitled to go first.
