Alien Escapade • Episode 0873 - Lacerta 4: Albi, Gina, Jarry, Leila, Master, Okapi, Selina, Skipper, Tetra, Vanna, Workers, Zola, ~ 12 {Landed in Lacerta ~ 6} ``Vanna: The Official, whom we have met, is sending his workers up to fix the computer, and other things, and I have asked for a decontamination device to be fitted, because we cannot use the normal one, as it is built into the passenger door, and other major repairs to the Mess. They will come through the top escape hatch. They still may end up landing us, but they need to fix the major problems first. The, Cyclops do have slim bodies, yellowish in colour, and are reasonably tall. They have one central eye. They do not understand slang, and they know some basic Italian. However they do understand a Standard language, which is a mixture of all languages. Do not speak fast. Also talk sensibly and intelligently. They can pick up every mannerism and emotion in your voice. They all have advanced faculties, so keep all your thoughts to yourselves. ``Master: You have to think first about the question you want to ask, and why you are asking the question. ``Skipper: If in any doubt talk to Tetra or Vanna first, because this has surprised me, although I was only expecting a different culture from the average ordinary culture, and initially I did not want to believe this amazing form of intelligence. ``Vanna: They understand the word 'greetings' so say it softly for now until we can get some working vocabulary, and a simple 'si' for yes and 'nor' for no. ``Tetra: Keep your distance, because they need to adjust to us as well, as we have done in China. It takes time to adapt, but we have unlimited time so do not try and rush anything. You will achieve more by going slowly. ``Gina: Absolutely wonderful, so Jarry you had better bite your tongue. ``Jarry: Noted. ``Tetra: Albi, do not try to out think them, as they are faster than you will ever be. They only slow down because of our culture and language barrier. ``Albi: Noted. ``Vanna: Zola, keep your thoughts to yourself, because I, Tetra, and all the Cyclops can pick them up. ``Zola: Noted. ``Vanna: Selina and Okapi! I do not sense any potential problems with yourselves, and you are well conversant with the situation, but anything you are not sure about ask me or Tetra first. ``Okapi: I too can use my faculties. ``Vanna: I know you can Dad, but you are usually lazy or cannot be bothered. However, it is much more sensitive here. ``Selina: I have it, but I do not use it much, so I need some help to enhance it. ``Vanna: Tetra and I will help, and Tetra has it off to a tee, and better than me. [Clonk] ``Vanna: They have landed. --- Benvenuto e prego continue. ``Workers: Greetings. ``Jarry: Blimey they are different. ``Vanna: That is what they say about you! So be careful Jarry. It could be construed as a negative thought! ``Jarry: I think I see what you mean. ``Gina: Zaa Jarry? ``Albi: I will just stay out of their way. ``Master: Could be a wise decision. ``Okapi: They are harmless as long as you show them respect, and they are repairing our Saucer. That is a major achievement in itself, so you two Bears, you must respect that. ``Albi: Point taken. ``Jarry: Zaa, it is good. ``Leila: It was a good job that Malcolm did not come! ``Okapi: That could have wiped out all hope. ``Leila: I just needed an excuse not to bring him. ``Vanna: Leila, has a lot of wisdom, but she keeps it to herself. ``Leila: This is true, but how can I pass it on if Beings do not understand? ``Vanna: Can you give it a try please, as we are in Lacerta? ``Leila: Certus. ``Zola: I too need some practise so perhaps, I can team up with Selina? ``Selina: Certus. ``Vanna: I am ready to do the two hops to the surface. There is a small refreshment area to the left of the waterfall, and you may help yourself. Please wait there, and do not wander off anywhere, until we are all down and in one group, and we have received instructions.
