Alien Escapade º Episode 0586 - The reckoning: Captain, Malcolm-H-Pilot, Jarry, Kirin, Leila, Tetra, Vanna, Zola, ~ 08 ``H-Pilot: Chopper to Farm, permission to drop in the deep end in this rain, over. ``Vanna: Farm to Chopper, swimmers only allowed, over. ``H-Pilot: Chopper landing on the Pond. ``Vanna: Farm, confirmed. ``H-Pilot: Good evening all, on a wet and cold evening. ``Tetra: Good evening Malcolm. ``H-Pilot. Evening Tetra. ``Leila: Here is a drink, and let’s go over here, where we will not be disturbed. The riot act for you has additional requirements to clarifications, because you are trained to react under emergency conditions, and to take control for the safety of your passengers. This is totally acceptable and it is respected, but we have to add another layer of responsibilities into this equation. ``H-Pilot: I am listening. ``Leila: We all work as a Team and not as an individual. Therefore if an emergency occurs, it is very unlikely that any one person will take things into their own hands. ``H-pilot: Are you saying that we are all responsible? ``Leila: Yes. ``H-pilot: Fine. ``Leila: Our Captain is in charge of the Saucer, and Vanna is in charge of the trip. And I am in charge as Doctor, and if none of us can agree, the command reverts to Tetra. ``H-pilot: That makes sense to me, because if I am in Air Traffic Control Air Space, I have to obey what they say. ``Leila: Excellent, and the principle is the same. Neither can we drop down, and make an emergency landing. We only have one escape tube, but not in an oxygen atmosphere. ``H-Pilot: So we become spacemen. ``Leila: Or space women! ``Jarry: We have been cleared to go and everything is loaded up. ``Vanna: I will lock up --- ``H-pilot: Very nice. ``Jarry: Drawbridge up. Three greens. Lift-off. ``Tetra: How is Malcolm? ``H-pilot: Piece of Cake. ``Tetra: You cannot have your cake, and eat it. ``H-pilot: Very good Tetra, but wow, I see what you mean. {S182 Upper Deck – In Earth’s Orbit ~ 8} ``Jarry: All clear for Hyperdrive. ``Kirin: Negative, all stop. ``Captain: Kirin? ``Kirin: There is something out there, Captain! ``Captain: Warming mode. ``Jarry: Something is reflecting on SCANDA, but it is not moving and I do not know what it is. ``Captain: How far away? ``Jarry: Distance 13Km. ``Kirin: It looks like it is a plane which has flamed out. ``Captain: Keep us at least 10 Km away from it Jarry, and analyse. ``Jarry: Zaa, sir. --- It does appear to be a fighter jet, but it is a long way off course. ``Kirin: That is probably why it flamed out as it got too cold. ``Captain: So what do we do? [Intercom left on] Tetra to the bridge, quin. ``Tetra: Zaa Captain, and options? ``Captain: They will die within a couple of hours if we leave them there, or do we try and get them back into their atmosphere? ``Tetra: What is their chances of them being rescued? ``Kirin: None, because they are too far off course, although it will not take them that long to locate where their plane is. ``Tetra: Full confab on lower deck, Captain. ``Captain: Agreed. [Lower Deck] ``Vanna: If we help them, we will be putting ourselves in danger. ``Zola: You mean that they would be stranded in space, and left to die, never to be found again, which may make other planes come looking for them. ``Leila: Even if we could help, we do not have much time left to do anything. ``H-Pilot: I think we ought to have a try and do something. ``Captain: Suggestions on how? [Chit-chat] ``Kirin: We could try and use ourselves as a magnet, and drag the plane backwards, so they cannot see us. ``Jarry: Although they cannot be rescued, it would be easier for them to locate where their plane is and a stealth bomber could try and get to it. ``H-Pilot: That would be better, then they would not think anything suspicious had happened. ``Captain: Once an investigation starts they could pick up a trace of our propellant, which would create more mysteries. ``Tetra: Do we have the robotic arm on board? ``Captain: Zaa. ``Tetra: Extend the arm with a noose and hook it around the tail of their plane and pull it backwards as far as we can go, before they can detect us. Then drop the noose off on a catch release, and get out fast. ``H-Pilot: You would need a space walk to do that. ``Captain: Space walk, Kirin. ``Kirin: Zaa Captain. ``Vanna: What a fabulous idea. ``H-Pilot: At least it will clear any conscience, we might have that we have tried.
