Alien Escapade ºº Episode 0049 - Singing in the Rain: Kirin, Leila, Wendy, ~ 03 {Leila’s Trullo ~ 2} ``Leila: It is raining, but it is still 32ºC out there. ``Wendy: I told you so! It’s muggy and wet. ``Leila: Will we be going to do the river today? ``Wendy: Unless you have anything else planned! ``Leila: Stop trying to patronize me! ``Wendy: Sorry, you win! Gina is on the assault course today, but we did not cancel it, as it usually rains on Earth. ``Leila: I like it! So let’s go, before we are interrupted. ``Wendy: Sure. We have to stop at 1Km intervals and take notes. Anything which may need to be replaced or has potential for consideration or any recommendations such as for a new channel to be built. ``Leila: That sounds straight forward enough. --- 20 Km --- Here you are! The road is corroded and over there is a crack right across it to here. This has eroded away before in parts, which could be caused by an old ford. ``Wendy: Nice one. ``Leila: !!A message from Kirin, cannot do to your specifications owing to technicalities, need to see you soon. !!Standby! Okay 17th time. I am at Waterfall. ``Wendy: You are getting the hang of it. ``Leila: I am still not sure, but that is what it sounded like. ``Wendy: I was right after all, but for the wrong reason! ``Leila: We [Emphasis] have not had a cross word yet! But there is always a first time; so leave me alone please on this one? Has your monthly come back again? ``Wendy: Okay. I am sorry, I agree. Shall we move on? ``Leila: It appears there is no planning permission or costs involved, they just get on and do it. ``Wendy: It does seem that way, and it makes sense as everything is done at cost price all in one. ``Leila: Only new works have to be costed out, which is like most things up here, but once approved, they just get on and build, repair or replace it, whatever. ``Wendy: It is chucking it down, I can hardly see where I am going --- ``Leila: Nor can I. ``Wendy: We have to stop here, and check this lot out. --- Blimey, it is like a hot shower! ``Leila: It is a good job we only have our bikinis on. ``Wendy: This is where we stopped before, and you can see that there could be a landslip here, going across the road --- Let’s take a walk up the hill. --- ``Leila: ‘Just singing in the rain, just singing the rain’. --- It’s all muddy. ``Wendy: You might get dirty! ``Leila: Ha, ha. A nice view of what I can see. ``Wendy: Shall we have a mud bath? ``Leila: Yea, but we will probably stink afterwards. ``Wendy: Okay, let’s move on, as we have one more to do. --- That seems okay. On to the rapids? ``Leila: Yea, I am going for a quick dip. ``Wendy: That current will be quiet strong, even though it is quite a small one. ``Leila: Yea, it’s too risky, so let’s get done here, as I need to get back. {Space Dock ~ 2} ``Leila: Hi. ``Kirin: Thanks for coming. The design engineer of the Saucer says that we cannot have any more hammocks, because the bulkheads are part of the supporting structure. This is why there are only three hammocks. ``Leila: In that case, can we have a partition around one of them, at one of the ends? ``Kirin: Sure, any preference, subject to confirmation? ``Leila: The back end would be better, so it is opposite the quoin! ``Kirin: Okay, I will get the specifications approved and make the changes. ``Leila: It means we will only be able to take one Being or traveller per trip! ``Kirin: The Saucer was not designed as a cruiser, as it is quite a small Saucer. ``Leila: Yea. I am sorry! I am not complaining, but I can see it will be better this way. ``Kirin: Can you hear the rain on the Saucer? ``Leila: Yea!
