Leila, Scotty, Wendy, ~ 03

``Scotty: As Gina has accepted the mission, I think she should have her own copy of our rules, owing to these strict measures we are imposing to safe guard our existence, and maintain the rules of the Cosmos. They will only be implemented at the last resort, if you were attacked and to safeguard Gina, because we all go in peace. ``Wendy: I too have built in a couple of safeguards with Ted, and our transmissions! In case there are any doubts with his Morse transmissions. Therefore I have given him two passwords, which he can send us, ‘polar bear’ for danger and ‘teddy bear’ for okay. Dad has updated the Captain, and the Navigator, who will naturally be listening in, on our next trip. I have invited Ted to send us an S.O.S. message as a test message which Dad you will pick up.

``Leila: We also need to adopt strict protocols for landing, as we have previously suggested. We will land on the ‘West Portal site’ and walk down to the east portal site and get Ted to pick us up from there, where he dropped us off. This will be half an hour earlier, and the Saucer can return to a holding point at 25 Km. If everything seems okay, I will send the Saucer ‘ginger bear’, which will allow the Saucer to return home.

``Scotty: Our Captain will use defence targeting if they are attacked, but he will try to manoeuvre out of range, so they are off their radar screens. They could jam them, but it might give you away, as you are an UFO. If the worse comes to the worse, your Laser beam will disable their aircraft, or if you are skilful enough and have time, you could ignite their fuel tank, making it crash land, and the pilot can parachute to safety.

``Wendy: We will all have stun guns issued to us, but these are more powerful than the Earth use, and will knock people out for about a day. Thus giving us time, to get away. They will awake with a bad headache, and will recuperate after a couple of days. These we will be switched on, as we exit the Saucer.

``Leila: We could use the radio, but that would give our position away or if we sneezed. Therefore, if we met any resistance, the stun-guns are our only line of defence. Even if Ted is in trouble or he has double-crossed us, then he gets stunned as well. Whereas our best means of escape is to get back to the West Site Portal, so the Saucer can drop down, pick us up and bring us back home. Normally we could wriggle out of it, but not this time. As we would have been caught red handed, with a live alien with us.

``Wendy: Neither do we know how it is going to affect Gina! Especially with the gravitational pull, on landing. Then we will expect her to walk half a kilometre in a heavier gravity. This could be like climbing a mountain. Neither do we know how well Gina can withstand the higher levels of oxygen, so we have now added a large first aid medical kit. ``Leila: Alternatively, we could come down first, check things out, then get the Saucer to come back and drop Gina off. ``Wendy: That sounds a better idea, but ask our Captain?

``Scotty: Leila can do that direct! ``Leila: You two are getting worse! However, as it is a matter of public relations, I will talk to Kirin. ``Wendy: I have the electronic key to the safe house, and Ted will only know the whereabouts when we direct him there, as it will only take 15 minutes. So we must make sure that we come down before daybreak. ``Scotty: The Saucer will still be tracking you to the safe house, which is where your Army are likely to pounce, but if there is any doubt leave your necklaces in your handbags so they cannot be seen to glow. ``Wendy: I think we will end up returning after 5 Earth days. That will give our Captain 1 day home, a 2 days rest period, and 1 day back again, which is 4 Cassiopeian days, against nearly 5 Earths days. This will mean that the Saucer will not have to leave earlier, by having to cut short their rest periods. ``Leila: I agree, and that will be enough, especially on our first trip, for all of us.
