Apparently we needed time to adjust, as your thinking is different and can be stronger, so you must give us time. ``Vanna: Okay, so what happens now? ``Advisor: I would like you to stay. ``Vanna: I will give it a qef, and see how we get on. ``Advisor: Agreed. {Lacerta Space Works ~ 5} ``Official we were all peeved off last time you were here, that we had problems for the last 6 months, and then you come along and fixed it in 6 units. ``Vanna: You asked for some help, and you go me instead. However it is easy to find the faults, but fixing them can be a real problem, and that is still down to you! ``Official: Accepted. ``Vanna: The computer did not let us down this time, but you need to go even higher up, as it appeared to be struggling, especially going over the top of Polaris. ``Engineer: I will take another look and I will increase the end stops, further. ``Official: You mentioned reversing the layout of the lounge? ``Vanna: Zaa, it is much nicer facing the way you are going. ``Devisor: Approved. ``Official: Swap the mess and the quiet room around? ``Vanna: Zaa. Or put the quiet room where the store rooms are at the back. ``Devisor: Okay. ``Official: The control layout needs to be moved! ``Advisor: The problem is there is nowhere it can go. ``Vanna: Move the angle of the controls around to say 10º clockwise. ``Advisor: That can be done. ``Devisor: We can make some small changes and we will make a mock up. ``Official: That is enough in one session, and we will discuss the implementations and zaffre for coming. Zimo. {Blue Mountain ~ 5} ``Tribe: Your last talk went down a lot easier, although they felt the twist to the tale, but I understand that is what it is designed to do. I am not sure about some of the others, but what will be, will be? ``Vanna: A puzzle, and I think I need a drink first. ``Tribe: Certus. ``Vanna: I think it will have to be on Grammar! --- ``Tribe: Friends I welcome Vanna back and I will let her have the last word! ``Vanna: Quano folks. Learning different languages is a wonderful skill, and it takes many years to perfect another language. In the meantime some languages can be grasp quickly within two years, but others take five years. We have the Italian culture on Earth, which is past similar to that up here. It is easy for the Italians to learn English, but it is much harder for English to learn Italian. The reason being it is the SVO, Subject, Verb, Objective, structure which is the grammar standard of any language. The Cassiopeians have 28 letters in their alphabet which makes it a good language to translate into, as many do. However, when someone says to you 'I will tell you, if you can work it out'. It is what it says it is, but it is the meaning of understanding to the set of circumstances at that moment in time, which is the important thing. For instance, if I said, 'I slept like a log' would I wake up in the fire place? Sometimes we presume too much or we presume an understanding when it is not correct! This is common and one must be allowed to ask a question, as the interpretation could be different to your understanding. Especially with local dialect. I have been to Lacerton, and to the other end of your Monorail Cont. < Previous Page 1435 Deneb <35.5.8> Warm [13 ] 1290 <1437> 00/190] Next Page 1437> |
