Alien Escapade º Episode 0578 - The Testing: Captain, Feny, H-Pilot, Mark, Leila, Ming, Sandy, Tetra, Vanna, Zola, ~ 10 {Corley Farm ~ 5} ``Leila: Zenden all. [Zenden’s] ``Vanna: Hallo Leila, and welcome back and thanks for all your help. ``Leila: Feny and I thought you would like it. ``Zola: Ming, is now on drinks. ``Leila: Just a cup of tea please. How is Dalbir? ``Vanna: We have been in communication and he has been busy. ``Leila: That’s good. ``Tetra: I too have missed you. ``Leila: Thanks Tetra. So who are we taking back? ``Vanna: Mark and Sandy. ``Leila: They can stay at your Mums? ``Vanna: Yes. ``Leila: Excellent. So we are going tonight? ``Captain: Yes Leila. ``Ming: Teas all. ``Sandy: Hello all. ``Vanna: Come on you two, you must have smelt the tea. ``Sandy: I brought some Cocoa for stubborn Mark. ``Mark: I do occasionally drink tea. ``Vanna: Feny it is lovely seeing you here again, but we have to get down to business. ``Feny: Sure, come on Pilot. ``Pilot: Bye. ``Feny: Bye. ``Leila: So Mark you have decided to come with us after all? ``Mark: Nothing ventured, nothing gained. ``Leila: You and I will sit down out the back, as I must go through the riot act with you. ``Mark: Why all this palaver? ``Leila: It is not as simple as getting on a plane and go! You have to convince me that you want to come. ``Mark: I’m sceptical of the whole thing. ``Leila: We all have doubts at times, but that will not get you through the test. ``Mark: I'm just curious where you're going. ``Leila: Do you think, that I would be wasting my time with you? ``Mark: I would not of thought so. ``Leila: If you were in a plane crash, what would you do? ``Mark: Once I'm dead, I am dead. ``Leila: What happens to the survivors? ``Mark: I see your point. ``Leila: Neither, is there any initial rescue mission, and you will only last minutes in space without oxygen. ``Mark: That has been puzzling me. ``Leila: Neither is there anywhere, where you can escape to. ``Mark: I love Sandy, so I do want to go. ``Leila: You never show it. ``Mark: I have never been a romantic. ``Leila: That is probably what is behind your scepticism. ``Mark: Maybe. So what else do I need to know. ``Leila: The take off and landing is the most difficult part of the journey, and the most dangerous. Furthermore if anything did go wrong you could end up in jail, and not in a coffin. ``Mark: Okay I've got the message. ``Sandy: Mark has been in there a long time. ``Vanna: Good, otherwise he does not go. ``Sandy: Oh. ``Vanna: We are all ready to go, so it is Mark holding us up. ``Sandy: He has always been like it, even when he was a boy. ``Vanna: He has to convince Leila of that and not me, and I will not go against Leila. [Mark has red face] ``Sandy: Have you had a fright? ``Mark: No. ``Leila: Vanna, can we convene a meeting now please? ``Vanna: Yes Leila, at once. Captain, Zola, upstairs now. --- ``Leila: I am not convinced about Mark’s integrity. ``Captain: Is he a hindrance? ``Leila: No. ``Vanna: I think he will be okay, and he is frightened of the unknown. ``Zola: Is he nervous? ``Leila: Yes, so can we take a vote on it? ``Captain: Go. ``Zola: Go. ``Vanna: Go. ``Leila: Go. ``Vanna: Thank you Leila, and I do appreciate having this extra meeting. ``Leila: Perhaps I am a bit bitter, on how my brother has turned out to be. ``Vanna: Keith mentioned some of it. [They come back down stairs, and Leila nods to Sandy] ``Sandy: That’s a relief Mark, they have decided that you can go. ``Mark: I didn’t think they would. ``Sandy: So you were hiding? ``Mark: Yea. ``Sandy: Well they have given you the benefit of the doubt. ``Mark: So it is doubt time all round? ``Sandy: Including me. The Captain will need 30 minutes to do the run-up checks, and then we will be invited onboard. So have another drink, whether you like or not. {European Space Agency ~ 2} ``Operator: Boss, you have to do something about this! ``Boss: Okay, I will circulate a memo to all departments, but what does it say? ``Operator: It decrypted ‘two trifles’, but this time it is coming from a different direction, and the bearing is towards Australia. ``Boss: This is weird. Perhaps we were looking in the wrong place. I will send an email off to the Australian Observatory. ``Operator: Thanks, Boss.
