Episode 0418 - The Acts: E1, E2, E3, E4, Kirin, Leila, Scotty, Sheriff, Yafo, Vanna, Zola, ~ 11 ``Elder 3: You have all received copies of the solicitors report which blames our Saucer being at low height and off course, saying it was the downdraft which caused Bear 3, to crash into Space Dock. ``Elder 2: This can become a very tricky situation, where two were blown off the north way and one, Bear 3 smashed into a wall of Space Dock. Fortunately he is out of hospital and convalescing, and he will make a full recovery. The two buggy propellers, were dazed and shocked. ``Sheriff: The problem is, why were they propelling when they should had stopped or were they going to fast for the conditions. The report we have had from the crash investigations, is that the impact speed was 40Km per time. Therefore he was going too fast. The problem then becomes is that Bear 3 was able to jump across verges and into Space Dock and there is no perimeter fencing. Was it the storm or was it the Saucer or both which catapulted Bear 3, across the way or did it ‘water plane’? It could also have been that he could not see where he was going or he was looking at the Saucer and lost control of his buggy. ``Leila: The whole of the way around space dock is in the control zone. ``Captain: It is only on the outside edges of the Circular way, where our zone stops. ``Leila: There is nothing in the rules to say we cannot glide in and the new Cirrus Saucer prefers a longer glide approach. ``Captain: Excellent Leila, and they know that Saucers will be at a very low height coming into land or lifting off. We all have been known to drift on touch down, although we usually come straight down or up at a steep angle, unless under special circumstances beyond our control, as with the weather condition, which was the case. ``Yafo: There are signs up warning people ‘beware of low flying Saucers’. Although fencing is being erected to secure Space Dock, but would that had made things worse by hitting a fence? ``Leila: It was a hurricane strength storm weather bomb, so it should come under ‘acts of God’. ``Zola: There was no pilot error or negligence or mechanical failure, because everyone was caught out by the bad weather. ``Scotty: The three should all be compensated by their insurance company, who should cough up whether they like it or not. Therefore it will be down to the three insurance companies to get together and decide on whether to cite us, as they are saying it was our Saucer, which caused the crash. That in itself is against us, because our Captain took off in adverse conditions although he was refused permission by the Tower. Regardless of this, he was on a rescue mission, owing to the Cirrus Saucer air crash. No one else could get there, owing to the deep forestry area, and they would had struggled for a qef. ``Elder 4: It then becomes a dilemma, do you let one lot suffer, because the other is not allowed to get through, and what about the weather forecasts? Did they not show it was a hurricane status? ``Vanna: Qaa, just a very bad storm. ``Kirin: There were three or 4 pockets of lows, and they all collapsed into one big low, taking the mbar pressure down even lower. That caused the whirlwind which caused the additional havoc and we could not have foreseen or detected until it was too late, which is what had happen. Also we nearly lost our Saucer. ``Captain: If we had known it was Hurricane strength, then I would have stayed put. ``Elder 1: Well friends, what are we going to do? --- No response! ``Leila: Write a polite informal letter back to the solicitors saying, that we are all sorry to hear about their tragedy, but this was an ‘act of God’ which no one could have predicted. ``Elder 1: Just that? ``Leila: Zaa. ``Elder 3: Are you all in initial agreement? [-Zaa’s-] ``Elder 1: Confirmed. < Qef = Day> < Previous Page 417 Lynx <10.4.5> Mild [04 = 366 <408> 00 = 093] Next Page 419> |
