I hand you over to Udal first. ``Elder 4: You have been a bit vague in your representation of incurred costs. I accept that there are legal fees of ¢5,000 and you laid off 3 workers on a month’s pay in lieu of notice. So that is ¢6,000 And you too had personal expenses. So shall we say another ¢3,000. That makes ¢14,000. Anything else? ``Director 1: We had to give the planners ¢20,000 because they could not carry on. ``Elder 4: Okay that makes ¢34,000. What is next? ``Director 3: Compensation. ``Director 2: Interest charges. ``Udal: They were ¢2,500 which included bank charges, and totals to ¢36,500. Anything else other than compensation? ``Director 3: They are only the basic essentials, as we owe all that and more. ``Udal: Oh why is this? ``Director: The other director is on holiday, so he could not be here today. ``Elder 1: Has he gone somewhere nice? ``Director 2: He has gone on a trip to the Cassiopeians Seas, and on to the North Axis. ``Elder 2: That is very good. ``Vanna: You say that you are entitled to sue us as third party for breach of contract, but what have we actually breach? ``Director 3: What has this got to do coming to a decision or are you pre-empting a court case. ``Leila: If we are negligent we need to understand so we can adjust accordingly so it does not happen again. ``Director 1: The agreement was that we would receive monthly sums for work under taken. ``Udal: When did the money stop flowing in from us? ``Director 3: You should know that. ``Udal: I am sorry, it was shortly after I took over, and our new revised audits have been made public, so I cannot tell you, and I would like to know, as we are trying to show transparency to the public. ``Director 1: We were to be paid ¢50,000 per month and we only received the first two months. ``Udal: Okay so the new total is ¢136,500. ``Zola: What did you do, when you did not get any more? ``Director 2: We just carried on, as we were promised, that we would get it. ``Zola: Who promised you that? ``Director 3: This is not a court case! ``Director 1: Krans. ``Scotty: Actually we are trying to save going to court, and we want to be fair to you. ``Gera: Did you know that Krans is on Cosmos Service and he went at short notice? ``Director 2: We had heard rumours to that effect. ``Elder 3: Where is the paperwork of complaint, that you had not been paid? ``Director 3: It was all done by agreement. ``Elder 2: But we did not have a treasurer for 8 weeks until Udal was appointed. ``Director 3: That is why we are in so much debt. ``Scotty: So when did you stop work? ``Director 2 months. ``Udal: In that case I will add another ¢50,000 to the list and that totals ¢186,000. ``Scotty: Therefore why did you rely on people who were unreliable? ``Director 1: We could not afford to go under. ``Udal: Is that because you had not paid previous creditors for the Parki Project? ``Director 3: This is not a trial, lets get back to the facts. ``Udal: In your submission, you have added another ¢85,000 for people you have not been able to pay! ``Director 1: If that is what the figures say, then it is correct. ``Scotty: We put it to you, that you are covering up for your mistakes, by chucking the blame onto us! ``Director 3: This is outrageous, I do not have to take this! ``Director 1: This is becoming a court case! ``Scotty: Put it this way, you could not get your money back because the planners went under in limited liability, so you are coming after us, to fill the gap. ``Director 1: In a sense, zaa. ``Scotty: However you are negligent that you should have done much more earlier, but you gave the planners weeks to get their problems sorted out, to stop you going under. ``Director 3: That is hearsay! ``Director 1: Total rubbish. ``Leila: The thing is can you prove that in court and can you afford a court case as we both may end up in paying our own costs? ``Director 3: They are bluffing! ``Director 1: What do you suggest. ``Udal: I have authority to be able to settle the claim for ¢186,500. ``Director 3: That is an insult. ``Director 2: We would have said at least ¢1 million. ``Scotty: We would suggest that you think again, now we have a better under-standing, because we will put a counter claim in for negligence. ``Director 3: They are bluffing.
