Alien Escapade º Episode 0328 - The Foundation: E1 Gera, E3 Jota, Tetra, Vanna, ~ 4 {Elders Meeting + Rocks ~ 2} ``Elder 3: This brings me on to the incident of the rock fall and Tetra. There is a ¢48,000 bill to cover the additional costs of making it safe. And a recommendation that a foot path be established down to the lower level in case this happens again. There were many complaints, because services could not become quickly operational owing to restriction of access. Therefore a show of hands for financial approval to cover the bill and creating a foot path. [- Zaa's -] Excellent. Now we come on to Tetra, and over to the Chair. ``Elder 1: Friends I think, a thank-you letter from the Oligarchy and signed by all of us, with another ¢100 voucher. So can I have a show of hands? [- Zaa’s -] ``Elder 3: Excellent. There is a drafted copy here, so please sign it on your way out. ``Elder 1: There is more to come from Tetra, on her project for an alternative Chopper Dock, and I think we should invite her here to give her some real supportive and professional response, so she can learn about reality. ``Elder 3: All in favour? [- Zaa’s -] Excellent. I too will enjoy this! {Sandalwood Fundus ~ 2} ``Vanna: Let’s hear what you have achieved. ``Tetra: The problem with existing proposals, are that none of them can agree on a joint adventure, is because they have their good and bad points. There is also a lack of useable places around Space Dock and owing to noise problems and an increase in traffic. Naturally I have to find a way to get around these problems, but it is not easy. ``Vanna: So far so good. ``Tetra: A two-tunnel solution is costly to build and maintain and there is no room to build a monorail extension into the terminal building from the south side, because it would cut the terminal into half. It is not feasible to use the east side of the terminal, as it is the opposite end to the canal extension and on the edge of the valley. In fact they need to create a foot pathway down to the canal. ``Vanna: Okay, I agree with you so far. So what is left? ``Tetra: Although thinking about it, why not have the monorail running parallel, with the canal? That would roll two projects into one. It would be easy enough to build the monorail on stilts through the solid rock areas. Thus making a westerly u-shape and then easterly monorail route from Hopper Dock to the terminal, would become feasible. ``Vanna: I am in favour of that, but where are you thinking of putting the Hopper port? ``Tetra: Still in the south east side of the terminal on the south side of the ring-way as before, because there is a big enough area, and it can easily be levelled. We can build a covered foot bridge into the south side of the terminal, as that will take up little room without destruction and construction changes to the terminal building. ``Vanna: Continue, I am beginning to like this. ``Tetra: That would leave one flyover from the east going across the existing ringway around Space Dock. ``Vanna: Show me on the fotos! ``Tetra: Zaa. I will mark it in here! This will mean that there will only need be two new approach roads, both further east and west, separate from the existing links into the terminal building. ``Vanna: Okay, get this lot together in a report and we will submit it to the Oligarchy, but create a new tablet in support, with fotos and where the new ‘ways’ will be. Then we can get Qualla to see if it is justified. ``Tetra: It is a lot more work than I anticipated, and the more I do, the more I need to do. ``Vanna: True, but this is normal in life, and this is a huge project and responsibility for anyone to take on board. ``Tetra: How is your building work coming along? ``Vanna: It will take another couple of qefs, but they are making progress. ``Tetra: Will you invite me over when it is finished? ``Vanna: Of course.
