``Elder 8: Thank you all for coming! And it is nice to see some regular faces as well as many new ones. There is plenty of time to chat so please stay for a drink and a snack. ``Cat 1: Why has the new Canal taken priority over other things?
Elder3: Since there have been recent changes within the Elders, one project has been cancelled that was for the extra relief road and the money saved on that project will build the canal. This will ease traffic and you will be able to walk the tow path from the Centre to Space dock or take the boat.
``Cat 2: Why has one school roof been repaired, but not ours?
Elder3: I now have time to sort out these problems and get them done. So please leave your details with me.
``Cat 3: There is dripping water under one of the foot tunnels of the monorail. Elder3: Let me have the details and I will look into it.
``Cat 4: Some pot holes are getting deeper, especially with our rainy season, so what is going to get done? ``Elder3: Let me have the details and I will pass it on, as they have priority for repair.
``Elder 8: I can assure you people that these things will all be sorted out in due course, but it will take time. We hope you can see the other improvements now taking place. The new quoins, will be opened shortly. Thank you for coming and there will be another meeting in a months time.

``A new position has arisen, owing to the changes in the Eldership. Their main task whether it is a Cat or a Bear, will be to act as liaison between the general public and the Elders and to represent the Elders when required. This position is very demanding and will need diplomacy skills, which will be tested to the utmost. We need someone who has various skills and maturity.
