Alien Escapade ºº Episode 0117 - The Oligarchy: Bears 1-3, Cats 4 & 5, E1, E3, Qualla, Scotty, Kirin, Leila, Ted, Wendy, 13 {Leila’s Trullo ~ 4} ``Qualla: I have brought your friend home. ``Leila: Thanks Qualla, and hallo Ted, welcome home. ``Ted: Thanks, I am a bit slow. ``Leila: Will you be able to take Ted for a short tour of our Citadel? ``Qualla: I will ask, and you are going home in two suns. ``Wendy: We were, but it has been postponed, as we have a meeting tomorrow. So Ted you will have an extra day’s stay, unless we go straight after the meeting. ``Qualla: I will get an update. ``Leila: Why have you gone quiet, Ted? ``Ted: I just have people waiting for me at home, to do another chauffer service. ``Leila: Tough! They can find another slave for a change. ``Kirin: The Captain had us assembling the balloon today. ``Leila: About time too. ``Kirin: The main problem we had was with the gases for the fuel, so we had to wait for an expert too arrive, to modify the system. ``Leila: So what do you think of it? ``Kirin: It is a fun thing, but it should bring the visitors in. ``Leila: I am afraid that I have an Elders meeting tonight. ``Kirin: When did this come up? ``Leila: At short notice! ``Kirin: Okay, I will go home, as I am on standby duty. ``Leila: We may not be going as there is another meeting tomorrow as well. ``Kirin: I doubt it anyway, because they need the Saucer for another local run. ``Leila: Okay, but please stay in touch. So when are we going home? {Elders Meeting ~ 9} - [Part 1] ``Elder 3: Zaffre for coming in Girls, and here comes Scotty at last. Help yourself as usual to the food, and please chat with the candidates. You are all voting, and it is in the emergency hearing minutes! ``Leila: I like it. ``Wendy: Hi! Bear 1; so what brings you here tonight? --- A) I am not happy with the way things are run, so I thought I would try and make a difference. ``Wendy: Hi! Bear 2; how do you see our world progressing? --- A) I do not, think it is! ``Scotty: Hi! Bear 3; What has determined your loyalty, for being here tonight? --- A) That is a funny question to ask! Perhaps it is because I have applied before, but was never elected. ``Leila: Hi! Cat 4; Can you cope in a Bears world? --- A) That is why I am here. ``Wendy: Hi! Cat 5; What makes the world move for you? --- A) By keeping things in balance. ``Scotty: The food is nice. ``Wendy: The drink I am pleased to say is light. ``Elder 3: So how is it going? ``Leila: Fine, we are contented with what we have heard. ``Elder 3: Excellent. We are voting, in ten units. {Elders Voting ~ 5} - [Part 1] ``Elder 3: You are all aware, we have our three co-opts here, who have full voting rights, and it is in the minutes of the committee meeting. I hand you over to the Chair. ``Elder 1: I thank the trio for coming at short notice. Therefore, any questions? --- Qaa. --- ``Elder 3: Okay! This is a closed session and only two will get through to the final round. Therefore if you are all ready to vote please hand in your voting papers to Qualla. --- ``Wendy: There are 11 of us who can vote; so here goes. --- ``Elder 3: Qualla Have you been able to come to a decision? ``Qualla: Zaa. Everyone has voted, no spoilt papers. Here are the results: Zaa Qaa Quacks Bear 1: 2 2 7 = 11 Bear 2: 4 2 5 = 11 Bear 3: 8 1 2 = 11 Cat 4: 3 5 3 = 11 Cat 5: 7 3 1 = 11 ``Elder 3: Zarfs, Qualla. That means Bear 3 and Cat 5 go through to the final round. Meeting is now closed. Final meeting tomorrow at the same time. ``Leila: Blimey we have done it. Look at those scores and look how anti some of them are! ``Scotty: It is wicked. ``Wendy: No wonder why we were called in.
