Alien Escapade ºº Episode 0073 - The Jobs: Kaon, Leila, Mother, Pam, Scotty, Taxis, Udal-E4, Wendy, ~ 08 {Safe house ~ 4} ``Leila: Shall we do the same as last time and walk down to the fish farm? ``Wendy: Actually, Pam is a taxi driver, and I have used her before for runs to the airport, so let’s give her office a ring! [Ring, ring] ``Taxis: ``Wendy: Is Pam on please? Taxis: Yes! ``Wendy: Ask her to pick up Wendy, at Elmstead House on the lower road. ``Taxis: Stand by! --- Yes, but it will be 30 minutes! ``Wendy: Fine. Thanks. Bye. [Taxi Arrives] - [Hoot] ``Pam: You do get around! ``Wendy: Shush! Not a word to anyone. Take us down to Mill Lane, the one by the Lock please. --- ``Pam: I have heard of it, so guide me through. --- ``Leila: I live there, so you have to go over the two hump-back bridges. ``Pam: Not jetting off anywhere? --- ``Wendy: We are going right around the world shortly. --- ``Pam: How nice. --- ``Leila: It is down on the left hand side, just past that big tree. --- Pam: That’s £15 please. ``Wendy: Here’s £20 and keep the change. ``Pam: A valued customer. ``Wendy: There will be some more runs shortly. [Bye’s.] {Chamber of Udal, E4 ~ 2} - [Treasurer’s Office] - [Back in Cassiopeia] ``Udal: Hi Scotty. ``Scotty: Hi. ``Udal: Tell me more about this alternative computer system! ``Scotty: Basically it leaves you alone and does not ask you silly questions like ‘are you sure’! All we need is a simple drop down menu for help topics. Neither do we want all the security of having to type in long numbers every time you add something in. One would never leave any security information on any normal computer as it would get hacked anyway. However, this system is easy to load and to set up and to converse with, as we have three computers already cross linked. ``Udal: So would you recommend it? ``Scotty: Absolutely. ``Udal: Would you like the task of setting up 10 new computers here? ``Scotty: Err! Zaa. ``Udal: Good, then you can teach us the differences? ``Scotty: Absolutely. ``Udal: Go to the computer supplier where you got yours from! Work out what you need for the 10 of us, and raise a pro-forma invoice, and I will pay it by return. ``Scotty: Zarfs, Udal. That is a nice surprise. {Leila’s House ~ 3} - [Back on Earth] ``Wendy: What day is it? ``Leila: Saturday, I think! [Knock, knock] Mum, are you up? ``Mother: Yes dear, you two are amazing, I don’t know how you manage it! You certainly don’t take after your Father. ``Leila: So Mum, can we have our usual please? ``Mother: Most certainly, I am just over-whelmed that you’re back. --- Coffees and bacon sarnie are on their way. --- Here you are. ``Leila: Thanks Mum. ``Mother: When did you get back? ``Leila: Late last night, so we have had time to freshen up. ``Mother: That’s good. Will you have time to do the garden? ``Leila: Of course we will. We will get on and do it now. [Two Hours Later] ``Leila: Okay mum, we are all done. I will come back and see you tomorrow, before we go. ``Mother: Go? When will that be? ``Leila: Within a couple of days or so. We are not sure yet. ``Wendy: Our body clocks are confused so we might be here for a week. ``Mother: I'll let Andrew know. ``Leila: Thanks Mum, bye for now. ``Wendy: Lets get to the shops, at my local grocers, as Dalbir is good, and he often has a few extras on at marked down prices. ``Leila: We have to keep help keep the village shops going. ``Wendy: He does watch his prices, although everything is going up. ``Leila: I have noticed the price of coffee, has gone up. {Safe House ~ 3} ``Wendy: Hi Kaon, sorry to be so long, but we can now eat. ``Leila: We got caught up, doing my mum's garden, and you will be doing ours tomorrow. ``Kaon: Okay. ``Wendy: As it is late, I will heat through this shepherds pie, which has been defrosted. It is Gina’s favourite, and will be easy on your palette. Would you like another drink? ``Kaon: Yes please. ``Leila: I will do the teas!
