``Scotty: I will read it out! Volunteer Cat Travellers wanted for expedition to Earth. This is for a prototype visit to Earth, who will become a pioneer. All candidates are either single or have no family commitments. Anyone is allowed to apply, but this is no ordinary, but a very serious assignment. It is not for the frail or faint-hearted, and they must be able to sustain gravity.

You must be open minded; adaptable, and able to withstand being in smaller or confined spaces and have the endurance for a long space flight, out and back. You may be under ‘house arrest’ for most of your duration on Earth, or even kidnapped by rebels. There will be few sightseeing tours on this trip.

Candidates, must be flexible and amenable and have a sense of humour, and be able to get on with others. They must be able to withstand loneliness and adapt to whatever they can do, using their own initiative, by looking after themselves, and as in a self-defence role.

The down side to this journey of a lifetime is that there are still too many unknowns, as with possible hostilities and not hospitalities as you would receive going on holiday. There is a possibility that you may fall into the wrong hands and could be captured. A worse scenario is, you do not get back home.

We are recruiting now and full training will be given. Remuneration is in the order of ˘600 per trip. The planned launch for this is trip is within a three-week timeframe. The duration of the task ahead, will be one week, but this may vary. Therefore, applicants must include their CV and a photo, and a short paragraph on why they have applied. Some knowledge of the Standard English Language, would be an advantage. Please reply via Quant, with a subject heading of ‘Space-Shuttle 1’.

Am I? ``I am pleased with the way things are progressing. ``Leila: What I would like to know is why did you not go for the Eldership? ``Qualla: That is very kind of you to say that, but you have to hold an office for ten years, and I have only been here for five years. ``Leila: So what is your position, as you appear to be one of them? ``Qualla: I was appointed, because they could not cope independently with the workload. ``Leila: So you are even busier now with us? ``Qualla: Zaa. Some days I have little to do, but others are hectic.

``Wendy: !!Dad, shush! Can you get a message through to Kirin and ask, if he would like to meet and discuss the merits of the conversation required in the Saucer, direct with Leila? ``!!Scotty: !Agreed. Meow! !!Wendy: Beehive! !!Scotty: Zaa tigress. ``Leila: Behave you two! !!Scotty: Zaa, honey. ``!!Wendy: Wasps, sting. ``Leila: What are you two up to now? ``Wendy: Nothing, just some thoughts. ``Scotty: We did not want to interrupt you, talking to Qualla. ``Leila: That’s a feeble excuse! So stop going behind my back!

``Wendy: So what is next? ``Scotty: The rainy season. ``Leila: So I hear! ``Scotty: Your job here is quite small, as the nearest river is an hour away. ``Wendy: Where the rapids are? ``Scotty: Yes, but if the stream or river bursts its banks, it could go anywhere as in ‘flash floods’. ``Leila: Does the TV News keep you up to date? ``Scotty: They do, but we all still have to go out and do local checks. Therefore, you ought to take it in turns, and report back the findings, because local conditions can quickly change at random. ``Wendy: Why can’t they do this on Earth? ``Leila: It is simple as ABC. ``Scotty: That is my line.
